Sport and Fitness

Sport.

Sport is not just something you do, its a lifestyle. My lifestyle. It’s around me on a daily basis and has been the biggest factor in appreciating how the camera seizes each motion, moment, movement and memory. My love for sport has made me the person I am today. Through various sports I have learnt and found my desire to capture each special moment which has lead me to progressing further into the field.

Combined with my studio skills and photoshop I have managed to create images that are unique in comparison to other sports photographers. I enjoy experimenting with black and white as well as colour, but with the fitness shots I created a gritty effect reflecting the emotion and hard work which goes on through the training, I feel a narrative behind the images is always important and adds more emphasis to the photographs.

Swimming.

Swimming is the most popular recreational activity after walking and the importance of teaching people to swim brings them to the sport. Between April 2012 and 2013, 2.89 million people were reported as regular swimmers making it valuable to so many.

It’s around me on a daily basis and has been the biggest factor in appreciating how the camera seizes each motion, moment, movement and memory. Ultimately, the sport that has driven me to pursue a career in photography is swimming. Swimming is a sport that requires commitment and dedication, and this has taught me how to strive for success and develop personally.
